Wiggle My Legs, Incorporated. A one-man Handyman company.

The handyman work started in 2011 while working for a temporary agency. My nieghbors asked me to work, and my landlord asked me to install a wall cabinet, so I bought a set of screwdrivers. A few months later, I decided to have a business name and logo and came up with Handy House. The logo was a house depicted with tools, the same as it is to this day, except the roof and chimney changed from a spread open compass, to a micrometer. When I was thinking about starting a URL for Handy House, I learned a little about SEO and looked up Handy House. The Net results showed endless images and links of Port-a-potty installations at construction and concert sites, with the name “Handy House” molded into the fiberglass wall above the entrance door, so I decided I needed a new business name. Trying to come up with something unique for my business, I recalled my grandfather teaching me about acronyms when I was young. He would suggest an acronym, and I would offer the words for it. It made us laugh. The last one he said was “What about WML?” and I said “Wiggle My Legs!” for a big laugh and a halt to the quizzing.

Sometime around 2014 I think, I opened the URL wigglemylegs.com at inmotionhosting.com, but only used it for the business email domain, as I didn’t fully grasp how to assemble a full site. During Corona Virus, I learned enough about HTML to assemble a fledgling URL at wigglemylegs.com hosted by Inmotionhosting.com. In the spring of 2025, I moved to squarespace.com to present a more attractive URL with fewer technical chores.

Wiggle My Legs, has been doing handyman work since 2010 in the Washtenaw County area. Many types of projects can be done for your home.  I do not currently do projects that require a license.  With a 1982 law, a license is not required in Michigan for projects under $600 including materials.  With the new Michigan Public Act 527 of 2018, painting no longer requires a license, meaning painting projects can be done with whatever time and material charges are appropriate. A good portion of my work is painting and associated repairs.

There are other projects where licensing is not required such as most aspects of yard maintenance, and some situations involving work for commercial businesses.

If you are wanting information about my background, you can find it here in a resume format at Nexxt.com.
